Why Soy? Give Me Five Good Reasons...
1. For starters, soy wax is safe and biodegradable. It's made from pure, 100% natural botanical oils with a soybean base.
2. Environmentally friendly, soy candles promote the growth and care of the environment by using plants, a renewable resource. So remember, when you’re enjoying soy candles, you’re supporting America’s farmers!
3. Soy candles burn at least 50% longer than candles made from paraffin wax, and produce about 90% less soot than paraffin candles. Soy wax is a favorite of environmentally conscious people because it's not made from petroleum, like paraffin candles, thus there is virtually no soot or smoke generated through the use of soy candles. The incorporation of soybean oil lowers the melting point of the candle, which translates into cooler burning candles and faster scent dispersion throughout an entire room or area.
4. Unlike paraffin wax, soy wax can be removed from furniture, carpets, clothing, and other surfaces simply by using hot soapy water.
5. And don’t forget, soy wax is also a great natural skin moisturizer! Rub what’s left of your soy candle wax into dry skin and cuticles.

So, What's the Secret to Burning these Soy Candles, Anyway?
There’s really no secret, only a few things to consider in order to make your soy candle experience a truly enjoyable one. The most important thing to remember is that soy wax is VERY SOFT. With this in mind, here are some quick, helpful tips!
WICKS: NEVER trim your wicks to a length less than 1/4 inch. A wick length of 1/4 - 3/8 of an inch is ideal.
TINS: ALWAYS place tins and containers on a LEVEL SURFACE, and NEVER burn longer than 1.5 hours at a time. If the wax is burning a little unevenly, use a CANDLE TOPPER to better distribute the wick heat. Wickless candles need only to be placed on a level hotplate to be enjoyed.
VOTIVES: ALWAYS use a VOTIVE HOLDER when burning votives. The container heat helps to melt the soy wax more evenly.
TEALIGHTS: Burn until tealight burns itself out. For safety reasons, throw away the tealight when it burns down to the metal wick tab at the bottom of the tealight cup.
UNBURNED/UNUSED SOY WAX: Soy wax is an all-natural skin moisturizer. Rub it into dry skin, and use it to replenish cuticles. Go ahead, it won’t hurt you…it’ll only help!

Does Anyone Recycle Anymore?
We do! See that symbol over there? We all have to play a part in renewing our resources, cleaning up our messes, and conserving energy. So, how do we do it? We’re unique in our tin recycling program which is aimed at helping to conserve our environment while saving our customers some money.
Here’s how it works: Once you’ve burned your 8 oz. soy wax candle (wicked or wickless) and cleaned out the soy wax residue, simply send the tin back to us and let us know with what scent you’d like us to refill your tin. And because you returned the tin to us, we’ll take 10% off the cost of the new candle! Be sure to include with your shipment, a check or money order made out to COUNTRY WICKHOUSE CANDLES for the total cost of the refilled tins, less the 10% discount, and add only $5.00 for shipping.
DON’T FORGET to inlcude a note with your shipment letting us know what refill scent or scents you want. YOU MUST ALSO INCLUDE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS AND TELEPHONE NUMBER so we know where to send back your recycled candles. If there are any questions on our part, we may have to contact you via telephone.
